Wine on a budget

I never miss the opportunity to hang around in a wine shop or wine section in the Supermarket....

5 years ago, I'd tell you all Wine tastes the same; I just couldn't tell them apart! Funny, somehow in this couple of years I started to develope a liking to it (also, the fact my gut cannot take Beer anymore, such tragedy!)...

I do however, have a special liking for Port (Porto) :) :) :)

Through Trial and Error and money invested, I'm not a connoisseur BUT I do know what I like and what I wont buy! I won't even try and sound smart trying to describe the technicalities of Wine tastings ! *slaps forehead*

I had a revelation one day, when by accident I picked up a bottle of of Eight Valleys Ruby Cabernet from Giant, just based on the price tag; For RM 26.90 ! What a bargain! The taste matched the description at the back of the bottle. That led to 3 more bottles and I was hooked ! I thought to myself, " Damn! cheap wine can be good too! Just gotta' know where to look ! and importantly HOW to look! "

For Christmas, my Dear bought me this:

Of course, for any wine enthusiast, these are the stuff you need to know so you won't go around looking stupid.... Don't even get me started on the Wine-Lingo Pronunciations !!!

I don't think it is necessary to spend a chunk of money buying an expensive bottle of wine you're going to regret...

So that's going to be my plan! I'm on a Mission to taste Budget/Supermarket Wines not more than RM 39.90 and write all about it!

Cheeeeerrrrsssss !!!!
