I can finally say I‘ve found the dog I’ve long dreamt of… She is 8-weeks old and will be coming home with me on 26 November! I’m counting the minutes!! Everything is set & ready awaiting her; her food (I bought 2 packs; Royal Canine & Blackwood, cos’ I didn’t know which one to get at that time), toys, treats, leash, collar, body harness, shampoo, ear cleaner, comb, bowl, a big bone, a Big cage (I don’t intend to use it, tho)…
The breeder of Bailey, Mr. Yong, is a sprightly ol’ uncle J and Mrs. Yong is so loving. She talks to her dogs like her children… apparently Bailey is the only female in the whole litter. The rest of the 8 males were all sold out! Even another of Mr. Yong’s female German Shepherd’s pups still in her womb are all sold out…
I’m really really happy & thank the Lord for guiding me. Although the journey to find my Bailey was a bumpy ride but was worth the while…
I was very close to buying a pup from a dodgy person in Ipoh. I don’t think he deserves to be called a Breeder. He has no sense of responsibility. When I asked for the pup’s cert, he gave me some cock & bull story about the pup’s sire; that the owner is a snobbish guy related to Michelle Yeoh. Who da fark cares who he is related to?! What a joke. I told him off straight when he tried to be funny by flirting with me! I complaint to my honey immediately!! Mike asked me to offer him at RM1.2k, if no deal then ask the breeder to jump sea! Ha Ha…
So on Weds, I made the appointment to see Mr. Yong & confirmed the pup on the spot… Mike promised to pick Bailey up with me on Saturday morning… I was elated! J So we spent the night together on wee Sat morning; so happen it was 15th day of Lunar calendar that means the moon was out again! We had two thirds of the Smirnoff and after I threw up for the third time, we slept nicely till 10am… Mr. Yong called to ensure I was on my way & I was feeling sick on the way there… We chat for awhile & Mike couldn’t stop laughing at Bailey’s ears! He calls them satellites!!! So I heaved Bailey in the car & we bade our goodbyes… Mrs. Yong was almost tearful when she said bye bye to Bailey….
We drove home & we were both amazed at how calm Bailey was!! She just sat there beside my legs & did not even panic. We waited for her to throw up, but she didn’t!! WOW~!
When we reached home, she refused to come down from the car! Mike dragged her in… Poor thing… she sniffed & tumbled straight onto the grass! She wee wee-ed & poo poo-ed too… I was feeling very very sick….. L After we played awhile in the garden, Daddy said he had to go to work… So we placed Bailey in her cage & we went out for a drink. We just got down the hill & my tears were running cos’ I knew I was going to throw up! Mike quickly pulled over & I threw up by the road side… *sob sob The dog was fine but the owner pulak throw up !!!!! Arrgghhh !!!
Went I got home I couldn’t find any Panadol so I rested in bed & took Bailey in my room so he could get comfortable in the air-con. She dozed awhile & when she got up, she left a small puddle before I could stop her!
Our neighbor was having their housewarming party that night, so I bundled Bailey in her cage locked her up. When we got back, I introduced her to my parents. They have not seen her yet! So she just sat fearlessly in front of my parents, my aunty & uncle. My aunty was surprised how calm she was! Dad called her name & she stared but did not know how to respond, she got a bit self conscious so she came & sat behind me.
My first mistake was not getting a play pen earlier! Since we couldn’t leave her outside in the cage (I didn’t have the heart actually!) I let her sleep in my room! She went round poking her nose in everything, and all of a sudden, my neighbor launched some fireworks! I rushed & opened the window & waited for Bailey’s reaction. She just sat there like nothing happened & continued to play! WOW~ I was so proud of my baby!
